ST. MARK'S UMC

News & Events

Here's what's happening at St. Mark's!

  • Annual Vision and Vitality Gathering

Looking Ahead: The Big Reveal. Sunday, January 11, 2026, is a pivotal day for our church. Following our Sunday worship service, we will hold an Annual Vision and Vitality Gathering. For the first time, we will officially share our new church vision and mission statements, unveil our new logo, and walk through the specific goals we’ve set for the coming year. This isn't just a business meeting; it is a celebration of our future. Whether you have been here for decades, are just joining us, or have not been with us for a while, you are invited to help us dream. Come and see where we are going!

  • Men's Breakfast Food & Fellowship

St. Mark’s Men’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

Location: Pegah's Family Restaurant - Johnson Drive, 11005 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS 66203

  • Walnuts and Rice

During Advent, you are invited to join the Walnuts and Rice class for the study, Awaiting the Already: An Advent Journey Through the Gospels by Magrey deVega.

Each Gospel, in its own way, leads us on the Advent journey of preparation for Christ’s coming. Awaiting the Already, takes a tour through the four Gospel narratives that announce Christ’s birth or make way for his ministry. The class will discover what parts of the Christmas story come from which Gospel, recognizing an invitation from each Gospel writer to prepare for a fresh experience of Christ in the past and the future.

  • St. Mark's Community Assistance Fund

St. Mark's Community Assistance Fund is available to provide small amounts of help to people in need. Please consider donating to the assistance fund, the Food Pantry, or the Church budget.

  • 2nd Mile Club

It is time for the 2nd Mile Club Giving. This offering will be split between the

Santa Fe Waystation and the St. Mark's general budget. Please send your donation to church or put in the Saturday/Sunday offering.

Thank you for this extra gift!
